We also played with the bee's! My brothers and Dan's brothers got along really well, so no one tried to get anyone else stung! Jonathan was the only one to get stung. Shelby loved spraying the bees to stir them up so they'd be mad and move around more! Don't worry, Mckenzie stayed in the car with Grandma Bastian and Aunt Bree!

Well, I finally am getting these pictures up on the website. They were taken when we took Dan's younger brothers to Colorado for Labor Day weekend. So, even though they were from a little while ago, I thought I'd post them anyway.

Well, we've had quite the busy November! Jessica flew in early to Colorado for Thanksgiving and was able to spend mroe time with her family. Then, Dan flew in the day before Thanksgiving. My parents went to the Cayman Islands during Thanksgiving so basically took care of everything. I really don't know how my mom and dad do everything they do! We were so packed with fun things to do and by the end we were exhausted. But, it was well worth it! Saturday we went snowboarding (well, Max went skiing while the rest of us snowboarded) at Breckenridge. I was amazed at how nice the snow was especially for it only being November! I can't wait to go boarding at Christmas time. My (Jessica) Grandma Whaley took care of Mckenzie while we went and they seemed to have a good time. So, for all the many things we did, we're glad we went. We truly are blessed to have such wonderful family and friends. We can't wait to go to Colorado for Christmas!

We're so excited, yet scared! Mckenzie has been rolling over from her tummy to her back for awhile now. Well, a few days ago she decided to pick up on rolling both ways. So she's getting around some more we know that soon we'll have to baby proof our home. Oh well, it's worth it. Seeing her learn and develop all these new skills is fun! She continues to love music and is very tickelish. Well, it seems that Dan and I are the boring ones. We never have too much new news to share, but we always have new things to share about Mckenzie. Oh well. Most people really just want to know how the baby is anyway.

We've had lot's of fun lately! Mckenzie loves to taste all the different types of food! We think her favorites are applesauce and sweet potatoes. Halloween was good. She ended up being a Bronco Fan (I'm sure Max is proud)! The next day she got the funniest costume from Grandma Bastian which she'll use next year. Dan has been so busy lately, but he tries hard to make time for Mckenzie and I. Today Elder Oaks came to BYU-Idaho and spoke at the devotional. Dan and I usually don't get a chance to listen to the devotionals, but we did today and it was wonderful! Those of you that have been in Rexburg, you wouldn't believe the building that is going on lately. It's crazy! Last week, Elder Bednar (I still have a hard time not refering to him as President Bednar) was up here for the groundbreaking of the new stadium which will be indoors and will seet 12,000 people!! We are so excited to go to Colorado for Thanksgiving. It will give Dan a little break from school and then he'll prepare for finals. Oh, the joys of finals.

Time sure does fly when you have a baby! Mckenzie is doing great! She's 12.5 lbs and 25 inches long. She's a tall one! She's coming up on 5 months and loves to roll over. Her smile and giggle is contagious and we think she already recognizes that she's spoiled! Dan is busy busy busy! He works, goes to school and then takes care of Mckenzie while I go to work. He plans to graduate in August after an internship and depending on how that turns out, he plans to stay working where he's at right now. We're enjoying the beautiful trees as they turn colors and we're not sure what to think of winter coming. Mckenzie already has an adorable little beenie. I guess we're already preparing her for snowboarding. She only has 5 years to go! Mckenzie and I went down to Salt Lake a few weeks ago while my mom was there for a primary meeting. It was nice to spend time with her. Then the next weekend Dan, Mckenzie and I went down to Utah for a career fair for Dan and ended up staying there a couple of days and then went up to Bear Lake to see family there. Good timing. My dad was also there working on the roof of an old family home that my aunt is fixing up. It's been nice to see some of my family recently. We enjoy having Dan's younger brothers Jonathan and James come and hang out and play games with us. We are looking forward to the holidays. We're excited to go to Colorado for both Thanksgiving and Christmas.

After a fun trip to Yellowstone for a family reunion, Mckenzie was blessed on July 30. We can't believe how much she is growing. She's all about eating, sleeping, trying to roll over (has done this a couple of times), making me (Jessica) change her diaper all the time (she does NOT like having a dirty diaper), smiling, and of course getting all the attention. She also has decided to try crawling. Yes, you read correctly "crawling". Of course she has a long way to go, but she's learned that if she bends one leg and then the other and switches back and forth then she can move. YIKES! Though, I must admit she only does this when she's upset. Maybe it's to say "Mom, if you don't do what I want, then I will learn how to crawl early and get into everything!" We shall see... Anyway, Dan starts back up with school here in a few weeks. He continues to work at Design Intelligence and seems to like it quite well. He has really enjoyed taking up golf this summer and learning how to be an awesome daddy! As for me... I started working again a couple of weeks ago doing the same thing (working with kids with behavioral problems). I only have 2 clients which makes it nice. I'm pretty much home most of the time with Mckenzie and when I go to work Dan takes charge! Life is good and we're enjoying our last little while of the summer.

I figured that it was about time for me to actually write a little something rather than just post a few pictures. We're all doing well. This week I (Jessica) have been sick and yesterday and today Dan hasn't felt well. Fortunantly, Mckenzie has been pretty healthy and happy. She slept the whole night (from 12 am to 8 am.) the other night. It was wonderful! She can't stand her bassinet, but loves our bed. So, we usually get her to sleep and then put her in her swing. She's growing so much! After her being so little when born and all that went on, she's doing amazing. She's such a strong little girl. She's two months old and weighs 9lbs 10oz and is 23 inches long! YUP...she's a tall girl! Jessica has gone back to work about 16 hours a week and Dan continues to work at for a structural engineering company. He goes back to school at the beginning of September. We've had a busy, but fun summer and are enjoying having Mckenzie home with us. She is a most amazing and true blessing to us. Thank you to all our family and friends for your love and support. We love you.
