Abby And Her Food

Abby LOVES food. She's known in nursery to choose eating snacks over playing, coloring, etc. Everyone else will finish eating dinner, the table cleared off and Abby will still be working on her food. Yes, she's a slllllooooow eater, but she's eats a lot too. One day last week, I let her have a mini-bag of chips and sit with us and watch a movie (this is a rare occasion, so she was really excited). It didn't take long for her to fall asleep, though she made sure to have her food right next to her. Oh Abby, we love you!

Princesss and the Frog

My sister Bree is visiting us right now and the girls absolutely adore her! The other day, they were playing in their room and Mckenzie kept coming out into the living room with her microphone yelling, "LADIES AND GENTLEMEN, BOYS AND GIRLS! PRESENTING, PRINCESS AND THE FROG". I had no idea what they were doing until Bree and Abby came out. They dressed Bree up as the Princess and put the Tinker Bell green skirt on Abby and she pretended to be the frog! Gotta love kids' imaginations!

Tornado???

Apparently, a tornado came to Mckenzie and Abby's room during the middle of the night...

It's A....

A GIRL!

We're due Oct. 22 and we're so excited! She was a wiggle worm during the ultrasound, but they have 2 people come in to do the ultrasound at different times to make sure they see everything they need to. They usually don't do 3D this early, but they were nice and did some more us!

Growth Spurts

I think Mckenzie's body has been in fast-growth mode for the past month. We've always been able to tell when she's about to hit one because she eats tons (which is typical), but also her cheeks get VERY big. She almost looks like a little chipmunk. Today she ate half an orange, a big grilled cheese sandwich and a good amount of mac n' cheese for lunch and last night she wanted 2 sloppy jo's. We're not quite sure where the food goes!

I Love You

"I love you so so so so MUCH!"

This is what Abby says to me all day. She's now been in the habit of saying it to others including Brother and Sister Smith her nursery teachers whom she absolutely adores and they likewise! Abby is STUBBORN! She's opinionated and tenascious. Yet at the same time, she manages to be loving, cuddly, easy-going and has a way of making EVERYONE (even people who don't like kids so much) pudding in her little hands. She knows what to say, how to say it and how to look so precious so everyone falls in love with her.

She's 2 1/2 and up until a couple days ago refused to be a big girl and insisted on being a baby. She even went so far as to having NOOOOO desire to potty-train because she was a baby. This week, something changed in her. She still wants to be loved and cuddled
on (she'll let you cuddle her as long as you want), but she now says "I'm a big girl" rather than "I'm a baby". I'm a little sad about the change, yet grateful for it.
