18 months old and in NURSERY!
Abby is now in nursery and LOVES it! She's only gone once, but she did great! It seemed to be harder on her momma than her. She went right in, played with the toys and could care less where I was. Being the primary secretary, I was periodically in the halls and would peak through the little window to see how she was doing. I'm really glad that she likes it and I know I shouldn't complain, I guess I just wanted her to miss me a little bit. Oh well. My baby is growing up and that's a good and exciting thing. Nursery is the first step in learning about Jesus in a church setting. She has a fantastic teacher, Ashely of whom Abby adores (I'm sure that helps tons). I have decided that if Ashley is ever released while I still have children in nursery, I'm going to through a fit! She is the BEST nursery leader in the world (not to mention a super fantastic friend)! Sorry the picture isn't the greatest. I don't have any of her recently in her "Sunday Best". Maybe I'll take one this Sunday!

Spencer's done!

Congrats to my (Jessica) brother Spencer or as Mckenzie calls him "Uncle Pepey". He just finished up classes and finals in his senior year of high school and PASSED! HAHA His class is the first to graduate from his school... no, not because the kids past keep failing, but his school is new and they gradually added another grade each year and he happened to be the first they started. Anyway, Spencer is an AWESOME brother and uncle. He has a lot of love to give, cares for others and has an incredible testimony. He is probably one of the hardest workers in our family, but is also known to be really lazy. HAHA! He worked hard in school, seminary and baseball and we're so proud of him! Mckenzie and Abby love playing with Unvle Pepey and can't wait till he comes to visit them this summer! He will be attending BYU-Idaho in the fall and then go on a mission when he turns 19 for our church (which is in February). Congrats, Spencer!

Today was a crappy day...literally
Today was a crappy day. I know I'm not supposed to say "crappy" (we're trying to stop Mckenzie from saying "crap"), but tonight I am! This morning, I rolled out of bed to find poo on the floor of the girls bedroom and into the bathroom. How did I find the first pile? By stepping in it. Thanks to my mom, I have a carpet cleaner and it works great!
My apartment was a total disaster, I wasn't dressed, the girls were in diaper/underwear and I hear my visiting teacher (whom I LOVE) yelling up to my window. I have to be honest, the thought ran through my mind not to answer her, but she's such a great VT and super sweetheart, that I jumped up, threw some clothes on and "cleaned" the main areas of the apartment. If you know me, you know that I hate it when people come over and the house isn't clean (I got that from my mom)... Anyway, she was awesome and helped with the girls while I finished cleaning the poo.
The rest of the day was filled pretty much with watching movies and holding Abby because she's teething (yes, she is FINALLY getting some teeth). Bedtime routine went fine.
A few minutes after they were in bed, I hear Mckenzie cry. Went in to check on her and lo and behold, POO!!!!! EVERYWHERE! A pile on the floor between the wall and her bed, smeared on the wall, the mattress and the bed frame. I wasn't the happiest momma in the world! Mckenzie hated having it all over her, so I'm assuming it was smeared everywhere as she tried to wipe it off. Dan took Mckenzie into the bathroom to clean her up (mostly on her feet). I asked Dan how bad the diaper was. He said there was nothing in it, but maybe a little pee and a small spot of brown on the outside of the diaper. WHAT!?! How in the world did this happen? The diaper was on completely when I went in to check on her and she's never put a diaper on herself before.
Anyway, Mckenzie, the bed, the wall, and the floor are all clean now and she's fast asleep in my bed... Hope there's not another explosion when I go to bed...

A couple random times with Abby
The other day I found Abby like this in her room. Instead of getting her out right away (she wasn't hurting at all, and yes, I made sure she was ok first), I grabbed the camera to take a picture. She's always getting herself stuck in things.
Abby loves to eat and she loves to eat slowly! She takes her time at everything she does from eating, to sleeping (3 hour afternoon naps), learning to sit up, crawl, walk, talk, etc. She's a complete joy and she makes us laugh each day with her unhurried little self.

4 Kids Under 3!!!
A couple of weeks ago, I babysat a friends' twin 2 year old girls for 4 days, just during the daytime. These girls are absolutely adorable and they get along so well with Mckenzie (Abby just follows them around)! I was actually surprised at how much I was able to get done with 4 kids running around, but it worked out great! They entertained each other non-stop! Anyway, one day we decided to walk to the park. I was a bit nervous doing this, after all I had 4 kids under the age of 3 with me. So, being the non-creative person that I am, I found some ribbon (shocker that I had even that), tied it to each of them and off we went. They did great, so long as they followed one by one and we sang songs. I really enjoyed having them come play with us, though I don't think I'm ready for another baby of my own anytime soon...
