MERRY CHRISTMAS

How blessed we are to celebrate the birth of our Savior, Jesus Christ. We are so grateful for His life, example, love and sacrifice. We know God lives and loves each of us. We truly are children of God and through the atonement of Jesus Christ, we can find true happiness and return to our Father in Heaven and be with our families forever. We wish you all a Merry Christmas!

Princess And The Frog

We saw "Princess and the Frog" opening night and of course Mckenzie and Abby had to dress-up like princesses. I have to say, the princess phase is kind of fun. Maybe I should look into getting a princess dress for myself...

Party!

Mckenzie and Abby went to an awesome birthday party where they ate icecream, cupcakes, riding the horse (not a real one) and colored on wood dolls! This is one of the birthday girls with Mckenzie!

Christmas Tree

We've been married for 6 years and we've never had a Christmas at home (though I'm not complaining because all but 1 of those Christmas' were spent in Colorado with my family). This year, flights were INSANELY expensive (though I did hear of someone seeing flights to Denver roundtrip for $188), so we opted to stay home.
It's against the city law to cut down a tree in your own backyard. Crazy huh? Instead of buying one from a lot that was cut down a month ago, they have "Cut Your Own Christmas Tree" lots in very random places throughout town. Mckenzie got to pick this years' Christmas tree (with some presuading from mom and dad). We obviously don't have many Christmas decorations, so we made a BIG trip to Target. Mckenzie thought it was great that she wasn't being told "no" or "we're not buying that" every 2 seconds. I have to say that Target has some cute ornaments at decent prices.
We've had the tree up since the day after Thanksgiving and the girls STILL like to touch it and play with all the ornaments. Mckenzie thinks she needs to sleep on the couch at night so she can fall asleep to the twinkling lights (she reminds me a lot of my brother, Max and I).

These are little trees that Baba Bastian gave to the girls last year before Christmas so they could decorate their OWN trees.

Pajama's

Back in September we went camping and Abby REFUSED to wear pj's with footies on them. We've attempted several times since, but only once has she been willing. So, we cut off the footies and she thought that was great! Not even 2 minutes later she was using them as slippers and insisting that she needed to wear them. This girl can not make up her mind!

Abby Is Growing Up!

Abby had her 2 year old check-up recently. She HATED getting vaccinated!!!
Here's her stats:
Weight = 26.6 lbs.
Height = 34 1/2 inches
Head Circ. = Sorry, I never can remember that.

"THAT'S MY DADDY!"

The other day, Mckenzie was looking through a Macy's ad and yelled, "Daddy! That's my daddy!" This is the guy she was pointing at:

HAHA! At least she thinks her daddy is handsome! :)

Family Picture Day

You want to know why this picture cracks me up??? Look at me (Jessica). I'm totally posed as a gansta' wanna-be (SOOOOO unplanned...I SWEAR!)

What stress family picture day brings to a mom. You have to make sure everyone is clean, wearing the right things, hair combed, not crying, and putting on a huge fake smile. I'm glad family picture day isn't a common occurance.
