Abby update

Update on Abby:
Abby is.......... Abby.
Abby is so many different things that contradict themselves. She's lovable, cuddly, sweet, sensative, energetic, easy-going, determined, fiesty, tenacious, stubborn, fearless, lively, decisive, forgiving, focused (on things SHE wants to be focused on haha), persistent, sympathetic, sincere, etc., etc., etc.! She has a way of melting hearts and driving you crazy at the same time. Not sure how she does it.
She loves Katie and gets so worked up when Katie is crying. Abby loves being a girly girl. Her dresses for church HAVE to be "spinning dresses" so she can twirl around in them. She loves dress up, brushing her hair (BY HERSELF) and anything pink! The other night we were getting ready to say prayers and read scritpures and we told her to come sit on the couch. She went up to the vent that was blowing air, put the backside of her head up to it and said "I'm not ready! I need to blow-dry my hair!"
Abby is so excited to be a Sunbeam! She loves nursery, her teacher and all the toys, so we'll see what she thinks of being a Sunbeam when she truly realizes that those things are NOT in her Sunbeam class!

Mckenzie's growing up!

All our girls are growing up so fast, but lately, Mckenzie has changed a lot. She's looking older, using more mature words and phrases, learning how to read, and so much more!

Mckenzie is so creative with music. She's always making up songs and dances. She loves to perform weither it be just for us or in church where there's a large congregation. She always wants to be the one giving a talk or reading the scripture in Primary. About a month ago the primary had their annual "primary sacrament meeting" and Mckenzie had to get up and share how she knows the Savior loves her. Her and Dan wrote it all out and she practiced it over and over again. Her part was "I know that Jesus loves me because He died for me and let me come down to Earth". She did a great job! During the musical portions of the program we were able to pinpoint Mckenzie's voice. She sang LOUD AND PROUD! Not to mention the little actions and moves she created to go with the songs.

She's such a good big sister. Although her and Abby have their moments, she gives up a lot of her things to help Abby be happy. She's so loving to Katie; always trying to calm her down, give her loves and sing to her.

Mckenzie is SO excited to go to Kindergarten. She's so bored at home...especially since it's too cold to go outside! She is still on the go non-stop and is full of energy, excitement (especially when we go shopping), curiouisity and learning how things work!

Abby's 3!

HOORAY! Out of the "terrible two's" and into the...not sure what to call it, but boy o' boy she doesn't want to go to bed at night! Abby has this way of melting hearts, yet driving you crazy at the same time. She's stubborn and opinionated, but oh so sweet , playful and cuddly! Her big blue eyes light up a room and she knows how to use her sweet smile and gentleness to get what she wants. Abby's birthday came soon after Katie was born and I was still recupperating from the c-section, so it ended up being a low-key birthday. However, she didn't seem to mind. As long as we continually acknoweldged that it was her special day, she was happy! A couple weeks after her birthday we took her to the American Girl store and Dan caved in and bought her a baby crib for her Bitty Baby because she is always getting Mckenzie's hand-me-downs. Hmm.. After seeing her light up when we told her that she could have it, well, it was worth it. I'm not saying that buying things for kids just to make them happy for that brief moment is a good thing. I'm just saying that it was neat to see Abby learn that she was getting something specifically for her! hard to explain. Anyway, WE LOVE Abby! She brings so much emotion to our lives. haha. She keeps things exciting.
