We've had a very busy February and it's not even over yet! We went down to Provo last week for a career fair for Dan. It was nice to get out of Rexburg for a couple of days. The career fair went alright and there are a couple of potential internship opprotunities, but we'll see how things go. We stayed in a hotel that had a pool and hot tub. Dan loved the hot tub and Mckenzie was thrilled about the swimming pool. I think that she thinks she's already an olympic swimmer. She's now standing up against things and when combined with crawling, well, she's become quite the little traveler. She of course gets into everything, but it's fun because it keeps our lives a bit entertaining. As for me, nothing much is new. I'm just working through my monthly cold right now. It seems like I'm always getting a stuffy nose, headache and soar throat. Go figure. We love you all and hope all is well with you. Love, Jessica, Dan and Mckenzie

Mckenzie

As for Mckenzie, well we could go on and on about her. Considering most of you are probably more interested in knowing how she's doing, we'll include more pictures of her! She's 8 months old now! HORRAY! She growing tons, though she still looks little. Her favorite foods are applesauce, nutrigrain bars, sweetpotatoes and corn, blueberry buckle and list goes on and on. Can you tell she has a sweet tooth? She loves to laugh, smile and be held. She may be only 8 months, but don't let her fool you. She's picky and she'll find ways to get you to do exactly what she wants. Her Grandma Wood tends her on Monday and Wednesday evenings while Jessica works and Dan is at school, so I know that she'd back me up about Mckenzie being so picky! Some might say that it's because she's spoiled, we just say that's her personality. We seem to recall her being this way since she was born! She army crawls all over the place and gets into everything. She's beautful and simply a joy! We are so blessed to have her in our lives.

DAN

Dan spent Christmas trying to relax, but with Jessica, Max and Mckenzie there wasn't much time. Fortunantly, Jessica's family was there to help tons so he was able to enjoy himself. He even had a few naps! Dan and Jessica's siblings built a huge fort and planned to sleep in it once finished, but ended up not being able to. Dan now is back in school. He has this semester, a religion class and an internship to do! He has begun the application process and in a couple of weeks we'll go down to Utah for a career fair in hopes of getting his name out there and speaking with potential places of internship and careers. So, keep your fingers crossed. Dan's classes, work, and family keep him very busy! He looks forward to the summer time when he can go golfing, not have to wear a coat and be done with school!

Surgeries and Snow!

Well, since we didn't send out Christmas cards we figured we would give you an update on how and what we've been up to.
Jessica had her 3rd knee surgery on the 20th of December. Yup, right before Christmas! We flew out to Colorado and had the surgery done there. The day of the surgery happened to be the day of the first (of many) huge snow storm to hit Colorado this season. It took us 2 hours to get home which should only take 45 minutes! My brother Max also had surgery on his leg that day! It's a family thing. We joke around and say that we keep the doctor in bussiness. Thanks to Dan and my mom's amazing driving skills we got home safely, not to mention my dad spent countless time trying to keep the driveway clear. The next two weeks we spent in Colorado and Jessica was catered to (it was great)! While we were there, three storms hit! Jessica did physical therapy for awhile and finished up last week. Her knee is healing and although stiff and tired at times, all is well. The doctor says she can snowboard in a year!!! She's counting down!

Well, we attempted to send out Christmas cards this year. We even had our pictures taken! Unfortunantly, we didn't get to sending them out. Excuses? Yes, we have tons of them, but we're sure that you'd rather not hear about those and instead read of what we've been up to.
