Christmas Tree

We've been married for 6 years and we've never had a Christmas at home (though I'm not complaining because all but 1 of those Christmas' were spent in Colorado with my family). This year, flights were INSANELY expensive (though I did hear of someone seeing flights to Denver roundtrip for $188), so we opted to stay home.
It's against the city law to cut down a tree in your own backyard. Crazy huh? Instead of buying one from a lot that was cut down a month ago, they have "Cut Your Own Christmas Tree" lots in very random places throughout town. Mckenzie got to pick this years' Christmas tree (with some presuading from mom and dad). We obviously don't have many Christmas decorations, so we made a BIG trip to Target. Mckenzie thought it was great that she wasn't being told "no" or "we're not buying that" every 2 seconds. I have to say that Target has some cute ornaments at decent prices.
We've had the tree up since the day after Thanksgiving and the girls STILL like to touch it and play with all the ornaments. Mckenzie thinks she needs to sleep on the couch at night so she can fall asleep to the twinkling lights (she reminds me a lot of my brother, Max and I).

These are little trees that Baba Bastian gave to the girls last year before Christmas so they could decorate their OWN trees.
