Something instantly changed when Katie was born; Abby became the middle child and she knows it! She absolutely LOVES Katie, but she struggles with not getting as much attention as she used to. I decided to start having "mommy/daughter time" with the girls. When it was Abby's turn about a month ago, she chose to have me take pictures of her at the park and go to Dunkin Donut's for hot chocolate. Abby is so good at driving you crazy while at the same time you can't help but smile and think she's so sweet.

Abby is the middle child
"All I want for Christmas is a fat lip???"
Mckenzie is VERY competitive. So much so that we try to teach her that loosing is ok (every once in awhile) by helping Abby win sometimes. Mckenzie has to win at EVERYTHING. Even things like getting to the door first, getting buckled in her car seat first, etc. etc. etc. While being competitive on Christmas Eve, she slipped and fell onto the edge of a stair and got a big fat lip. At least she can say that she had the biggest lips for Christmas!
Christmas (yes, I know it's February)
We celebrated Christmas morning at home and then went to friends' for Christmas dinner. Here's some pictures from Christmas (unfortunatly, I wasn't very good about capturing every moment, so there aren't that many pictures):
We were a bit slow at getting a Christmas tree and after searching an hour for one to cut down that we liked, we ended up being a pre-cut one and we LOVED it!

The BIG 3-0!

For Dan's birthday (back in December), I made a pineapple upside down cake. This is something he has wanted me to make for his birthday for years, but I never have. It was a HUGE hit!!! Dan is a wonderful husband and father. He tries so hard to support and make his family happy. Being the only male in the family, he has learned so many "girly" things and rarely do I hear him complain... even when the girls have their "dance talent shows". Dan is patient, sincere, thoughtful, hard working, and so very dedicated to serving others and the Lord. We love you, Daniel/Daddy!
