Nantucket

Dan's brothers Micah and James came to visit us in the middle of August. Dan's other brother, Jonathan (there are 3 more brothers and 1 sister) works in Nantucket on a sport fishing boat during the summer. So, we went to visit him and he took us all on the boat to do some fishing. I got SUPER sea sick, Abby fell asleep about 10 minutes after getting on the boat and woke up about 10 minutes before the fishing trip ended, and Dan and Mckenzie had a great time fishing together! Mckenzie was the SUPER FISHERGIRL catching a 10 lbs. fish! She was so proud of herself. I couldn't believe how interested she was in fishing! She had to be apart of the whole process (which even included holding squid...gross). NOTE: The pictures are not in order.

Soccer

Mckenzie was in a soccer/basketball camp (mostly soccer) for a week and ABSOLUTELY loved it! She had tons of fun and I think she had a little crush on one of the coaches. haha. Although we all told Mckenzie numerous times that she can't pick up the ball, she still would. She was really good at running and kicking the ball, but when she'd get close to the goal, she'd pick the ball up and position it just right and then kick it and SCORE! Here's some (probably a lot) of pictures from her camp.

Dan's Toes

The young men and the older men had a "friendly" game of basketball a couple Saturdays ago. The young men gave no mercy and by the end everyone was exhausted and sore! Dan hurt his 2 big toes and there was bleeding underneeth. It was really hurting, so he called my uncle who's a dermatologist. He told us to get a safety pin super hot (let it heat up through a flame) and the poke the top of the nail and push until blood comes out. It'd relieve all the pressure and should help. So, Dan let me do it for him. I really should have become a surgeon. Anyway, there was instant relief from pain. Now we're just waiting for the nails to fall off (gross, I know).

Boston Tea Party

I've been meaning to post some pictures from the "Boston Tea Party" for a while now, but the sd card got lost (I think it might have been the one that went through the wash). The "Tea Party Movement" came through Boston on it's way to Washington D.C., so I adventured into Boston with the girls and we had tons of fun! Everyone was sooo nice and let me and my big stroller push our way closer and closer to the stage where tons of speakers including Sarah Palin were speaking. It was a peaceful "movement" besides those looney lefties (to all my loonie lefty friends, I still love you) who were protesting the movement. Go figure. Though I'm not a true supporter of the "Tea Party Movement", I do agree with a lot of the opinions. I think things like this are great for the kids to get exposed to. Maybe I'm raising the future president of the United States...
