Abby had tubes put in her ears on Thursday. The doctor was a little worried that he may not be able to fit tubes in her ears because her earcanals are so small. Thankfully, everything worked out perfectly. He had to really work at getting them in, but as soon as they did, the fit just right! Before the surgery, they gave her a couple doses of medicine to help her get drosey and I must say that it's quite funny watching a one year old get loopy! In the recovery room, she had all the nurses wrapped around her little pinky. They sure did spoil her. I don't know if it was from the pain or just the newness of hearing so well that for the first day she randomly would scream and cry. Our little sweet pea can hear now so well and it's wonderful! She is enjoying books and music more compared to before the surgery. I've thought a lot about how blessed we are in our lives and how much we take for granted. Even things like our hearing. I never thought about how wonderful it is to be able to hear until I learned that Abby couldn't. I'm so grateful for modern technology that makes our lives just that more blessed and happy.
