Oh how I love warm weather and warm beaches, sleeping in, being lazy, having an awesome pedicure and incredible swedish massage(*I went to the hotel spa for a pedicure and when I was done, they said that my husband had called in to schedule a massage for me) and eating yummy food! Dan and I took a trip to Cancun last week and had a wonderful time. My brother and sister flew out here and watched the girls. We were there for 7 days and we ate Mexican food at least once each day.
View from our hotel room. This is our 2nd time staying at the JW Marriott and I would recommend it to anyone! I LOVE IT!

Hurricane Wilma destroyed the beach back in 2005 (about 2 weeks after we were there the first time). About 3 weeks ago they dug up massive amounts of sand from the ocean and rebuilt the beach. The beach is huge now and at the end of it, there's a 6 foot drop off and then a little more beach and then water. The water is slowly eroding the sand and soon it'll all be nice and smooth. It actually made for a lot of fun for finding tons of big beautiful shells!

I got pinkeye, but I caught early enough that it didn't get too bad. Though, all the Mexicans had to ask me what was wrong with my eye. Apparently, they don't get pinkeye in Mexico...

Tulum! Last time we went to Cancun, we went to Chichen Itza and climbed up to the top. I wasn't the happiest camper considering the fact that I was pregnant at the time. Dan REALLY wanted to go to Tulum and see more Myan ruins. It was hot and humid, but better than our trip to Chichen Itza.

Doesn't this look like a scene from Gilligan's Island?

Xel-Ha (Shel Ha)

Xel-Ha (Shel Ha) was a nature place where you can float down a river, snorkel, swim with dolphins, eat lot's of yummy food and sleep in hammocks. It was fun, but not sure if it was worth the money. However, we did see Zack Braff from Scrubs (one of my FAVORITE tv shows). We had our water camera with us, so until the film is developed, this picture will have to do.

This is what happens when you don't wear sunscreen in Mexico... and don't listen to your wife :)

We spent the majority of our week relaxing on the beach/hotel relaxing, reading, sleeping and swimming.
