Some how my little girls are always small for their age. Pediatricians tell me it's genetics and not to worry (why didn't I get that genetic make-up to show through in me I will never know). However, when I took Abby in for her 9 month check-up about 5 weeks ago, the doctor was really concerned because she stayed the same weight (15.13 lbs). I wasn't too worried considering the fact that she had grown an inch in a short period of time. He gave me calorie suppliments to add to her food and said to use things fattening like butter on everything. Well, I don't really cook with much butter or salt, so that was a bit of a change. The last several weeks I haven't been giving her the calorie suppliment, but have loader HER foods up with butter. She also has become a VERY GOOD eater lately. Today, Dan took her to the doctor (long story why I didn't) today because she hasn't been feeling good. They were shocked to see how much Abby had grown. She's now 17.12 lbs! That's 2 lbs in about 5 weeks! This is totally different than what we're used to with her. Instead of below 5%, she's not around the 15%!! I'm so proud!

WOW! that's great she's bulking up sooo fast. But come'on... who can refuse real butter?! I think it should be it's own food group. :)
I know how frustrating the lack of weight gain can be. We were watching Drew very close because he used to spit up ALL DAY LONG, even after he turned one. yes, it was a mess.
And now Nathan is way opposite. He was 12 pounds at his 2 month check up. I hope he doesn't get too big.
Where's the middle ground here people?!
Jessica! I am getting a bit better about how to work this blog thing, discovering the comments was a big breakthrough! I was so happy to hear from you. You have a gorgeous family. I cannot believe you have two girls! Let's keep in touch across the country!
If my food was doused in butter I'd probably become a "really good" eater too =)
I can't believe how big your girls are getting! It won't be long before they are both walking around everywhere. It seems like you have adjusted well to life in Massachusetts. I have never heard of the OGO...it sounds like fun though!
