Mckenzie is NOT a picky eater. The only thing she refuses to eat are pickles. She'll even eat asperagus! The other day, Mckenzie decided to be quite the handful. First, she found an almost full pack of gum and to her dismay, I was paying attention and took it from her. I put it in my pocket and totally forgot about it. About a half hour later, I noticed her being very quiet and sure enough, she had somehow got the gum back and swallowed all but maybe 3 pieces. That afternoon, we were hanging out in the living room and I fell asleep. Oops. A few minutes later Mckenzie comes running in crying with some kind of white stuff in her mouth and I notice a very strong odor of ralph lauren romance prefume in the air and sure enough Mckenzie was holding the bottle of it! I of course freak out, run her into the bathroom and make her guzzle down tons of water. I still don't know what the white stuff in her mouth was. The thing that gets to me is that I learned my lesson before (when she ate the cascade tablet) and put locks on the cabnits. Apparently, I have to put locks on the cupboard above the toilet too. I kept smelling something funny. I of course could smell the prefume, but there was something else to it. After dinner, I took Mckenzie down to the pool to play before bed and there I figured it out. Her breath was DISGUSTING! It was a mixture of prefume, gum and what I assume to be the smell of stomach acid. My friend came down to the pool and she could even smell Mckenzie from 5 feet away. I was thrilled for bedtime! I changed her diaper (hadn't put her pj's on yet) and we got ready to read scriptures. Mckenzie comes running in saying "potty, potty". Well, yes she was right about HAVING ALREADY GONE potty. She had an absolute explosion (sorry for those weak stomachs out there)!!! It was everywhere. I'll spare you the details, but let's just say we spent a good portion of the next hour cleaning. We sure love our Mckenzie. She keeps us on our toes (even when we fall asleep). What a dull life we'd have if we didn't have her. We love her so much for her sweet and tender heart, her rambuncious energy, her thoughtfulness, her drive, her independance, her charisma, her dedication, her selflessness, her optimism, her opinionated mind, her sweet precious smile, her everything! Some days are harder than others, but we wouldn't trade those or any other days! We love our Miss Mckenzie!

What's the stuff all over her face in the picture? Lock everything! Man, I know what you're going through...my kids haven't tried perfume yet but I'm sure one of these days it'll be put on the list.
It's chocolate pudding. It's the most recent picture of her by herself that I have and I figured with the post it goes rather well.
Sounds like quite the entertainment at your house. I remember when Vyktoria used a WHOLE bottle of some really stinky cheap perfume that Toni's mom had given her. I think it was 2 weeks before the smell finally went away.
Oh my gosh. I love your kids. I'm glad they belong to you, though. I'm sure we'll get our turn, though. And with the crazy Merrell gene, I'm sure I'll have plenty my own out-of-control days as well. We miss you guys!
