Ukraine LDS temple

My heart is full today and I am very excited. I'm sure I've just been out of the loop, but the Kiev Ukraine temple had it's ground breaking recently. To those of you who don't understand why this is a big deal to me, let me explain. The temple announcement was made clear back in 1998. People have been ever so patient and faithful in knowing that someday, when the time is right, the temple would be built. My sweet loved ones in Russia sacrafice SO much to have the chance to attend the temple. When I was there, they had to travel to the Sweden temple. The travel was extremely long and very expensive. Needless to say, the members have incredible faith and are willing to give all they have to furthering and aiding to their eternal salvation. Kiev is much closer to them and just knowing that there's a temple in that area of the world is so calming. The gospel is going forth to all people, kindreds and tongues! Isn't this SO wonderful!

I hope the construction process is fast and painless.

We are so excited , when I was living in Ukraine, we visited the announced site. I remember how the members there continually prayed that things would work out and the temple could be built soon, and there were a lot of miracles involved in being able to get a spot, let alone being able to break ground. HURRAY!
