These are pictures taken a while back and I'm finally getting them posted.
Since Mckenzie is growing up so fast and the majority of family and friends live 10+ hours away, I thought I'd share a list of things Mckenzie is doing, what she's like etc. Hope you enjoy!
1. She is an opprotunist through and through (makes life interesting for us...note: I didn't put this as number one by coincidence)!
2. She has decided that her pink purse is necessary to carry in order to walk around the house.
3. She decided one day to use a spatchula for a walking stick.
4. She got tired of holding up her bottle, so she placed the bottle on the dining chair (they sit high) and stood there to drink it without having to hold on to it.
5. She is finally giving hugs to her daddy.
6. She wakes up for Dan to leave for work and while he gets ready follows him everywhere. If she wakes up after he leaves, she starts looking around for him.
7. She is a fish. A lady in our ward is a swim instructor and one day a week she teaches free lessons to who ever in the ward would like them and who's under 3. Mckenzie has learned to kick her legs to get her places, get out of the pool almost all by herself, jump in the pool (we have to watch her on this one) and this week she had to try and swim by herself. Swimming by herself included me letting go of her and the instructor pulling her up out of the water. She did really well. She was kicking and tried to turn herself over onto her back. LETTING GO OF YOUR BABY IN A POOL IS NOT AN EASY THING FOR A MOMMY TO DO!
8. Gives hugs all the time.
9. Loves babies, kids and teenagers, but still is working on adults. If I'm around, she refuses to even go to her grandmas.
10. She thinks it's so cool to go on the internet and find pictures of little babies. So, if you have a website with a picture of a baby, you can probably count on us having been on it.
11. She carries her baby doll all over and loves to watch me hold and cuddle it (we'll see if she reacts the same when her little sister comes a long).
12. Her laugh/giggle is the most contagious thing ever.
13. She adores whales, dolphins and any other sea life
14. She can eat a banana in under two minutes!
15. She loves music and tries to sing.
16. She loves books and being read to. She'll be playing in her room and I'll find her having scattered all of her books around her in a circle and she'll be taking the time to look at each.
17. She loves to dance!
18. She watches everyone (this can be a little embarrassing for how much she does this, but hey she's learning new things)
19. She, like all kids, is a GREAT manipulator.
20. She can eat a whole kids meal by herself at one sitting, a whole peanut butter and jelly sandwich, and the other day she ate 3 1/2 pancakes (how's she's only in the 5% percentile on weight we have no idea)!
We love Mckenzie so much! She is a most wonderful blessing to our family. She is as sweet and beautiful and wonderful as we could ever want! We're so excited to be getting another baby girl whom we know will be as wonderful and beautiful as Mckenzie!
