Update of the Wood Girls

We finally figured out how to explain Mckenzie and Abby. Abby is the tortious and Mckenzie is the hare. Abby is laid back, go with the flow (unless it's something she wants really bad). Mckenzie is fast past and emotional. Here's some things about each lately.


Mckenzie has always been our little energizer bunny and it's so fun to watch her continue to grow and develop even more of a personality. She is a terrific big sister and always makes sure Abby gets treats when she does. She will even share her potty rewards with Abby. Mckenzie is VERY polite. Although her "please" and "thank you's" are sweet, my favorite is to hear her say "you're welcome". Mckenzie continues to enjoy singing. When we moved in January, my visiting teacher took care of the girls. She's a professional voice teacher with a BEAUTIFUL piano. Mckenzie would sing, while Corrine would play on the piano. Corrine (my visiting teacher) said that Mckenzie has a great talent. She was completely impressed that even though Mckenzie is only 2, she can carry a tune. She said that most kids don't develop a skill for hearing different tunes and even carrying one until about 1st grade! It wasn't a surprise to us because she is 100% musically oriented, but it was really neat to hear someone who knows what they are talking about, say such awesome things. Mckenzie continues to LOVE nursery and her nursery leader, Ashley (and we love her, too). Mckenzie is talking a lot more. She has a couple favorite sentences like "I'm fine" and "Mommy best friend me". Mckenzie has a big heart!


Abby continues to be cute and cuddly. She has a way of stealing your heart. She's fun-loving, flirtatious, and is always happy. My brother thinks there must be something wrong with her because she's always happy. She follows me around everywhere and if I sit down, she has to be held. Her hearing is getting better and she's matching some animals with their sounds and even making a couple of the sounds. She LOVES baby dolls. She feeds, cuddles, pats them on their backs and wraps them in blankets. She giggles every time I wrap a baby in a blanket and hand it to her. Although cute and cuddly, Abby can be very tenacious and determined. It's fun to see Mckenzie and Abby fight over a toy. Although both girls are STUBBORN (I have no idea where they got that ;) ), Abby usually wins the toy.
